1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using AltMole ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

AltMole provides AI-powered alternative text generation services for images. Our services include:

• Image upload and processing (PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP formats)
• ZIP file extraction and bulk image processing
• Website scraping to discover images from URLs
• Multi-language alt text generation
• SEO keyword integration
• Custom word limit settings
• CSV/PDF export functionality
• GPT‑4 Vision AI analysis

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access our services, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Providing accurate contact information

4. Mole System and Billing

Our service operates on a mole-based system:

• Each alt text generation consumes one (1) mole
• Moles are consumed only upon successful generation
• Failed generations do not consume moles
• Subscription moles are added monthly and do not roll over
• Refunds are provided only for unused moles within 30 days of purchase

Billing and payments:

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details; these are handled by the payment processor.
• By starting a subscription, you authorize recurring charges via Stripe at the start of each billing cycle until cancellation.
• All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. Taxes may be added based on your location and legal requirements.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
• Failed or past-due payments may result in temporary suspension or termination. We may retry charges and request you update your payment method.
• For chargebacks or disputes, please contact support first so we can help resolve the issue promptly.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use our service to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit our AI systems
• Scrape websites without permission or in violation of their terms
• Exceed rate limits or attempt to abuse the service
• Share account credentials with unauthorized users

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your uploaded images. The alt text generated by our AI becomes your property upon generation. AltMole retains all rights to our technology, algorithms, and service infrastructure.

8. Data Processing and Privacy

We process your images temporarily to generate alt text. Images are not permanently stored on our servers after processing. For detailed information about data handling, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience technical issues that temporarily affect service access.

10. Limitation of Liability

AltMole shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease, and any unused subscription moles will be forfeited. One-time moles may be refunded at our discretion.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or through the service interface. Continued use constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
